Quota International of Morro Bay
                            Estero Bay Lock-Up

Quota International of Morro Bay observed Quota Cares Month with a special
community outreach: the Estero Bay Lock-Up for Camp Hapitok, Friday, March 26. The
event took place at a "Jail" on the corner of Morro Bay Blvd. and Napa in Morro Bay.
Estero Bay Lock-Up was ACT I.  Members of the service organization and the
community at large acquired warrants, enabling them to "arrest" friends. The arrest
warrants included a picture of the participant photographed behind bars,
information about the Lock-Up, and a donation receipt.

Those arrested were taken to jail on the day of the Lock-Up, and remained there until
they posted bail.  Those unable to spend time in jail gave their bail money to
Quotarians in order to stay out of jail.

Members of Quota took shifts at the Jail, standing on the corner with "Quota Cares
for Hapitok" signs to solicit donations from people walking or driving by. Other
members of Quota handed out brochures and talked to passers-by about the club's
goals and service projects, as well as talking about Camp Hapitok.

The project was a huge success, bringing in over $3300.  In addition to being able to
sponsor A Day at the Bay, Quota International of Morro Bay will be able to contribute
almost $2000 to the general fund for Camp Hapitok.

ACT II of the Quota Cares Month Project, A Day at the Bay for the children of Camp
Hapitok, will take place July 28, 2010. Camp Hapitok is a local summer camp for
children with hearing and speech disorders.  Campers and T.I.G.R.'s (high school
volunteers) will be treated to a fun-filled and educational day in beautiful Morro Bay
with Morro Bay Quotarians leading the way. They will fly kites provided by Quota and
decorated during arts and crafts at camp, build sand castles by teams competing for
prizes, play games at the beach, have lunch, and visit the Morro Bay Aquarium and
Natural History Museum.

Camp Hapitok is greatly appreciated in our community, and its mission fits with
Quota's commitment to provide service which improves the lives of deaf,
hard-of-hearing, and speech impaired youngsters.  Our members know that we are
truly making a difference in the lives of the children at Hapitok by our support.
